Enjoy a Fat-Burning & Nutritious Homemade Kimchi Fried 'Rice'!
Homemade Kimchi made with vege & fruits of radish, nappa cabbage, carrots, scallions, onions, parsley, pears & apples besides ginger, garlic, chilli powder & himalayan salt.
Kimchi is 1 of the best natural probiotics. Store-bought yogurt usually comes with loads of sugar. Probiotics is needed for maintaining healthy digestion, strong immune system, hormonal balance & even Weight-Loss! Also a great source of calcium, iron, beta-carotene, Vits A, C, B1 & B2.
Again white rice is replaced by quinoa, buckwheat & millet which are fat-burning carbs high in protein but low GI (Glycemic Index). White rice is high in GI. Food high in GI will spike blood-sugar. This is why pre-diabetics (insulin resistance), diabetics or those with cholesterol & weight issues are always advised to cut down on white rice.
A free-range egg, seaweed & side salad complements this meal.

The kimchee in the "ride" really stoke my appetite, but I can do with a bit more protein to make me feel full as I still feel hungry after finishing it. How about adding some cubed dried tofu as meat replacement?

WILL DO! psst.... by the way quinoa & buckwheat are complete protein as it has the 9 amino acids that our body cannot produce out of the protein building blocks of 20 aminos that we need. 1 cup of quinoa contains abt 8grams of protein, buckwheat abt 6grams

Wow, I love your "revised" kimchi fried rice. The vegetarian fish cake(?) and the tofu adds more "protein punch" to a fitness enthusiast like me.

I was mildly apprehensive about trying quinoa as it isn't a common ingredient in Asian cuisine :D but I am so glad I did purchase this meal. It was surprisingly filling and delicious. 10/10 will buy again

Once again, thanks thanks thanks for yr review! Yupp, quinoa is satisfying & filling becos it is very nutrient dense (that's why it qualifies as a 'superfood'). In fact the nutrients it contains almost fulfilled all the spectrum of nutrients' deficiencies in our modern day that leads to the prevalent health challenges today like blood sugar, cholesterol, heart problems etc (thanks to the abundance of processed food, fast food, artificial flavorings-laden food in our modern day diet). It also helps to increase metabolism, hence why i called it "Weightloss MixedQuinoa" (buckwheat & millet are also 'superfoods'). So it's both for weightloss & health, why not?.. most of the modern-day health issues are called 'metabolic syndrome' right? Glad u find it delicious too cos' my purpose too is to make a variety of meals that are flavorful, nutritious yet relevant to our asian tastebuds so healthy eating wont ever be boring again, hence why it is... NO DEPRIVATION, NO RESTRICTION! ; )
